Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Searcy, AR
See Why We Adore Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, often called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. With their long, beautiful, silky coat and very little shedding, Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Even at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can come across as feisty and bossy. But their sweet temperament and the deep bond they create with their family are what win people over. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They adjust easily to life with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Searcy, Arkansas area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Searcy. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

What Makes Our Puppies Special
At The Puppy House, we believe in doing things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards are much higher than what's required. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to run, play, and socialize.
Each of our puppies receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a set of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and they get lots of exercise along the way.
We invite you to come visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love making new friends, hearing from them over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
How Your Yorkie Puppy Travels to Searcy, Arkansas
Three ways run from Sugarcreek to Searcy, and the right one depends mostly on how soon you want the puppy home and how you feel about a long drive.
Home delivery by ground
Most Searcy families choose this. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, each puppy in a carrier of its own, with a veterinary check before the van pulls out and word from the driver as it travels. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. The flat fee to Arkansas is $450, and with Searcy 659 miles out, most families have the puppy in their arms about two days after departure, sometimes three depending on the route the van takes. Drivers on that trip also stop in , including Batesville AR, Newport AR, Heber Springs AR, Southside AR, Mountain View AR, Bald Knob AR, Brinkley AR, Horseshoe Bend AR, Judsonia AR, Augusta AR, Cave City AR, Melbourne AR, Calico Rock AR, Kensett AR, Des Arc AR, McCrory AR, Clarendon AR, Newark AR, Tumbling Shoals AR, Greers Ferry AR, Higginson AR, Bradford AR, Oxford AR, McRae AR, Pangburn AR, Cotton Plant AR, De Valls Bluff AR, Norfork AR, and Holly Grove AR, so the price doesn't move if you're elsewhere in White County or a few miles outside town.
For a puppy this small, the van has one advantage worth naming. Young Yorkies need frequent small meals to keep their blood sugar steady, and a ground transport schedule builds those stops in.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most flight nanny deliveries are done the same day. From Searcy, the airports that make sense for a handoff are Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field, and Jonesboro Municipal Airport.
Yorkshire Terriers clear the in cabin requirements easily, since the limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkie weighs a couple of pounds. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. You need a little flexibility in case weather delays a flight. Flight nanny is quoted per trip and costs more than ground delivery.
Pickup at the farm
You're welcome to come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it was raised, and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee at the kitchen table. From Searcy that's 12 to 14 hours of driving each way, so realistically two days on the road plus a hotel. Some families make a trip of it. Most don't, and that's fine.
What we usually suggest for Searcy
Ground delivery is the answer for nearly everyone. At $450 it is the least complicated option, it costs less than a flight nanny, and nobody has to drive to an airport with a carrier. If you would rather have the puppy home in one day instead of two, ask about a flight nanny when we talk. The method, the timing, and the fee all get settled on the phone after the puppy is reserved.
