Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Sun City Center, FL

Learn Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. Their coat is long, silky, and beautiful, and because it sheds very little, Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. While most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They blend right in with most families. Locating reputable Yorkie breeders in the Sun City Center, Florida area can be challenging, as there are very few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Sun City Center. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We go above and beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested, and each comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life, is part of every puppy's routine. We also focus on socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Out in the backyard, our puppies play and explore alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, plus it gives them plenty of exercise.
Feel free to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends along the way, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough exam from a veterinarian before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Sun City Center, Florida
Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Sun City Center that means 883 miles on the road and 17 to 19 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Sun City Center, , including Wimauma FL, and Balm FL, and any other address in Hillsborough County.
Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Sun City Center, nannies fly into Tampa International Airport, and St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.
Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
