Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Oak Forest, IL
Find Out Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us
Few breeds are as close to our hearts at The Puppy House as the Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat and sheds very little, which is why it's often recommended for people with allergies. Despite typically weighing 7 pounds or less, Yorkies carry a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. There are very few responsible breeders across the country, so finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Oak Forest, Illinois area can be difficult. That's why we take great pride in bringing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Oak Forest. Our hope is that every family can have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Oak Forest
What Makes Our Puppies a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards reach well past the basics. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines with a history of great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization matters just as much, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. That way, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. To us, placing a Yorkie is more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. Our favorite part is making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, every puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Oak Forest comes up 327 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including and Bremen IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Oak Forest families are Chicago Midway International Airport, and Gary Chicago International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
