Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Windsor, CT

Here's What We Love About Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, are especially close to our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat and sheds very little, which is why it's often recommended for people with allergies. Small as they are at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the cherry on top. They fit in well with most families. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Windsor, Connecticut area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. This is exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Windsor. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Windsor
Here's Why Our Puppies Are the Best
The Puppy House is dedicated to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies each go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps shape good behavior and habits as they grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
You're invited to visit us and choose your puppy in person if you can. Visiting lets you see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We don't take placing our Yorkies lightly, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Three Ways a Yorkie Puppy Gets to Windsor, Connecticut
Connecticut falls in our regional delivery tier, which means door to door ground transport is a flat $350 in Windsor, in , including Bloomfield CT, and Windsor Locks CT, and everywhere else in Hartford County. This is what we recommend for most families here. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and because Connecticut sits early on the East Coast route, arrival is usually the next day.
Pickup at the farm is open to anyone willing to make the drive, by appointment. From Windsor that's 475 miles by road, or 9 to 11 hours each way. It makes for a long day. You get to see where the puppy was raised, meet the litter, and go through the health records, microchip registration, and the guarantee face to face before you head home.
Flight nanny is the fastest option and the one families choose when they want the puppy quickly. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin in an airline approved carrier under the seat, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these finish same day. The practical arrival airports for Windsor are Bradley International Airport, and Tweed New Haven Airport. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds including the carrier, and travel with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. A grown Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds, so that weight limit is never the sticking point with this breed. Flights are quoted per trip and cost more than ground, and winter weather can push a date.
We send home a bag of the food the puppy has been eating. The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
