Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Cicero, NY
Learn What We Love About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. For a dog that typically weighs 7 pounds or less, the Yorkie has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They adapt well to most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Cicero, New York area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is why we're so proud to offer carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Cicero. It matters to us that every family has access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Best Around
At The Puppy House, we take care to breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We hold our program to standards well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for, and each has plenty of room to play and socialize.
We put every puppy through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's wonderful socialization, and they get plenty of exercise too.
We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies with families seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale to us. We love making new friends, hearing from them over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy is given their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Cicero, New York
There are three ways to get your puppy home to Cicero, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From Cicero you're looking at 6 to 8 hours each way, 342 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.
Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Onondaga County the driver also delivers to , including Watertown NY, Sullivan NY, Lenox NY, Vienna NY, Constantia NY, Canastota NY, West Monroe NY, Parish NY, Bridgeport NY, Amboy NY, Williamstown NY, Orwell NY, and Cleveland NY, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.
Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, and never in cargo. Most flights are done same day. For Cicero, we meet families at baggage claim at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, and Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.
What we suggest for Cicero. If 6 to 8 hours each way is a day you can spare, come get the puppy yourself. It's a pretty drive. You'll learn more in an hour at the farm than in a dozen text messages. If that's more road than you want, ground delivery at $350 is the sensible choice. Flight nanny is for families who want the puppy in their arms in a matter of hours.
