Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Nicholasville, KY
Find Out Why We're So Fond of Yorkies
Here at The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. A Yorkie typically weighs 7 pounds or less but has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddles and being near you all the time is the icing on the cake. They fit in well with most families. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Nicholasville, Kentucky area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. That's the reason we take so much pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Nicholasville. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Nicholasville
Why Our Puppies Are the Right Choice
Here at The Puppy House, we breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We go above and beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have lots of space to play and socialize.
Every puppy is given Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done early in life. Socialization is just as important, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.
If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. That way, you can see where your puppy was raised, spend time with our dogs, and meet us face to face. For us, placing a Yorkie is a serious commitment and more than a one-time sale. We love keeping in touch with the new friends we make and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy gets their first round of shots and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Nicholasville, Kentucky, and What It Costs
Home delivery to your door
$350, door to door, to Nicholasville or anywhere else in the state. That is the whole cost of getting your puppy home, and it's what most Kentucky families choose. A pet delivery service collects the puppy here on Tuesday morning and runs it down in a climate controlled van, in a carrier to itself, with the vans cleaned and disinfected between trips. Two drivers ride each one, so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. The service's own veterinarian goes over every puppy after pickup and before the van pulls out, and the driver calls as it gets close so you know when to be home.
Schedules close at noon on Monday for that week. Nicholasville is 239 miles from the farm, so families here are usually holding the puppy within a day or two of departure rather than waiting out a long haul. Around Jessamine County, the van also makes stops in , including Richmond KY, Danville KY, Harrodsburg KY, Wilmore KY, Lancaster KY, Stanford KY, Russell Springs KY, Junction City KY, Liberty KY, Burgin KY, and Perryville KY.
Pickup at the farm
Pickup is free, and Kentucky is close enough that a fair number of families take it rather than wait on a van. From Nicholasville it's 4 to 6 hours each way. You get to walk the property, meet the mother where possible, and go through the vaccination records, the microchip paperwork and the guarantee at the kitchen table instead of over the phone. Visits run by appointment so the time is set aside for you properly rather than squeezed between chores. We're closed Sundays, and a message left then usually gets answered Monday.
Flight nanny
Ask and we'll arrange it. Only a handful of families a year go this way, since the drive is short enough that flying rarely buys much. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim the same day. For Nicholasville, the workable airports are Blue Grass Airport, and Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Flights run $750 to $1,200 depending on the route and the airline.
