Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Florence, KY
Discover Why We're So Fond of Yorkies
Here at The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat, and since they shed very little, they're often recommended for people with allergies. Although they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. They blend right in with most families. If you live in the Florence, Kentucky area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. This is why we're so proud to offer carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Florence. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Florence
Why Our Puppies Are the Right Choice
Here at The Puppy House, we breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We go well beyond the basic standards. We genetically test all of our adult dogs, and each one comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have all the room they need to play and socialize.
Every puppy receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which is a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.
We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first set of shots and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Florence, Kentucky, and What It Costs
Home delivery to your door
$350, door to door, to Florence or anywhere else in the state. That is the whole cost of getting your puppy home, and it's what most Kentucky families choose. A pet delivery service collects the puppy here on Tuesday morning and runs it down in a climate controlled van, in a carrier to itself, with the vans cleaned and disinfected between trips. Two drivers ride each one, so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. The service's own veterinarian goes over every puppy after pickup and before the van pulls out, and the driver calls as it gets close so you know when to be home.
Schedules close at noon on Monday for that week. Florence is 189 miles from the farm, so families here are usually holding the puppy within a day or two of departure rather than waiting out a long haul. Around Boone County, the van also makes stops in , including Independence KY, Erlanger KY, Burlington KY, Oakbrook KY, Edgewood KY, Elsmere KY, Union KY, Crescent Springs KY, Crestview Hills KY, Lakeside Park KY, Rising Sun IN, Warsaw KY, Vevay IN, and Dillsboro IN.
Pickup at the farm
Pickup is free, and Kentucky is close enough that a fair number of families take it rather than wait on a van. From Florence it's 3 to 5 hours each way. You get to walk the property, meet the mother where possible, and go through the vaccination records, the microchip paperwork and the guarantee at the kitchen table instead of over the phone. Visits run by appointment so the time is set aside for you properly rather than squeezed between chores. We're closed Sundays, and a message left then usually gets answered Monday.
Flight nanny
Ask and we'll arrange it. Only a handful of families a year go this way, since the drive is short enough that flying rarely buys much. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim the same day. For Florence, the workable airports are Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport, and Cincinnati Municipal Airport Lunken Field. Flights run $750 to $1,200 depending on the route and the airline.
