Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Elmont, NY
See What We Love About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies because their long, beautiful, silky coat sheds very little. Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, yet they have a big-dog attitude that can be both feisty and bossy. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They fit in well with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Elmont, New York area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. For this reason, we're proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Elmont. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Best Around
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. Our standards go far beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Out in the backyard, our puppies play and explore alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can make the trip, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see where your puppy was raised, spend time with our dogs, and meet us face to face. We're serious about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's more than a one-time sale. It means a lot to us to make new friends, keep in touch, and watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and is checked thoroughly by a veterinarian. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Elmont, New York
There are three ways to get your puppy home to Elmont, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From Elmont you're looking at 7 to 9 hours each way, 416 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.
Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Nassau County the driver also delivers to , including Valley Stream NY, Franklin Square NY, North Valley Stream NY, Floral Park NY, Bellerose Terrace NY, South Floral Park NY, and Bellerose NY, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.
Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, and never in cargo. Most flights are done same day. For Elmont, we meet families at baggage claim at John F. Kennedy International Airport, and LaGuardia Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.
What we suggest for Elmont. If 7 to 9 hours each way is a day you can spare, come get the puppy yourself. It's a pretty drive. You'll learn more in an hour at the farm than in a dozen text messages. If that's more road than you want, ground delivery at $350 is the sensible choice. Flight nanny is for families who want the puppy in their arms in a matter of hours.
