See Why Yorkies Have Our Hearts

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as they're often called, have a special place in our hearts. Their coat is long, silky, and beautiful, and because it sheds very little, Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. While most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the real reason people fall for Yorkies is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and being close by all the time is the icing on the cake. They adjust easily to life with most families. Finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Pacifica, California area can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. For that reason, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Pacifica. Our hope is that every family can have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Top Choice

We do things the right way at The Puppy House when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well looked after and has plenty of space to play and socialize.

Each of our puppies receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a set of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. They play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, plus it gives them plenty of exercise.

If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.

Every puppy gets their first round of shots and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Pacifica, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports

There are three ways home, and for Pacifica the choice is usually between the last two.

Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Pacifica means 2182 miles and 43 to 45 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Pacifica or in , including Hilo HI, Kahului HI, Kihei HI, Wailuku HI, Lahaina HI, Waimea HI, Hawaiian Paradise Park HI, Holualoa HI, Waihee-Waiehu HI, Haiku-Pauwela HI, Pukalani HI, Kula HI, Makawao HI, Napili-Honokowai HI, Waikoloa Village HI, Wailea HI, El Granada CA, Hawaiian Beaches HI, Kahaluu-Keauhou HI, Hawaiian Ocean View HI, Captain Cook HI, Waikapu HI, Moss Beach CA, Volcano HI, Mountain View HI, Ainaloa HI, Orchidlands Estates HI, Kaunakakai HI, Hawaiian Acres HI, Lanai City HI, Keaau HI, Montara CA, Honaunau-Napoopoo HI, Honalo HI, Paia HI, Keokea HI, Honokaa HI, Fern Acres HI, Kealakekua HI, Pahala HI, Kapaau HI, Nanawale Estates HI, Kualapuu HI, Leilani Estates HI, Pepeekeo HI, Discovery Harbour HI, Wainaku HI, Kurtistown HI, Haliimaile HI, Hawi HI, Olinda HI, Papaikou HI, Naalehu HI, Kaanapali HI, Mahinahina HI, Puako HI, Pahoa HI, Fern Forest HI, Hana HI, Eden Roc HI, Halaula HI, Paukaa HI, Paauilo HI, Launiupoko HI, and Laupahoehoe HI. Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.

Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Pacifica. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. San Mateo County families meet their nanny at San Francisco International Airport, and San Carlos Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.

Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Pacifica we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
