Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Wheeling, IL
Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed that's very dear to us. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat, and since they shed very little, they're often recommended for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. But what truly wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They tend to fit right in with most families. Tracking down a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Wheeling, Illinois area can be challenging, since responsible breeders are so rare across the country. That's the reason we take so much pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Wheeling. Our hope is that every family can have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

See What Sets Our Yorkie Puppies Apart
At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We aim much higher than the basics. Every adult dog we own is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here gets great care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step that helps our puppies develop good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This helps with socialization and gives them plenty of exercise too.
We invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Wheeling that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Wheeling comes up 345 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including and Riverwoods IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Wheeling families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
