Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Covington, KY
Discover Why We're So Fond of Yorkies
Here at The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies usually tip the scales at 7 pounds or less, yet they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But what wins people's hearts is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Tracking down a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Covington, Kentucky area can be challenging, since responsible breeders are so rare across the country. Because of this, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Covington. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can truly count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Covington
Why So Many Families Choose Our Puppies
Here at The Puppy House, we breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and enjoy plenty of room to play and socialize.
All of our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. The puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is a great way for them to socialize, and they get plenty of exercise too.
If possible, we invite you to come visit us and choose your puppy in person. This gives you a chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We enjoy gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, every puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Covington, Kentucky, and What It Costs
Home delivery to your door
$350, door to door, to Covington or anywhere else in the state. That is the whole cost of getting your puppy home, and it's what most Kentucky families choose. A pet delivery service collects the puppy here on Tuesday morning and runs it down in a climate controlled van, in a carrier to itself, with the vans cleaned and disinfected between trips. Two drivers ride each one, so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. The service's own veterinarian goes over every puppy after pickup and before the van pulls out, and the driver calls as it gets close so you know when to be home.
Schedules close at noon on Monday for that week. Covington is 181 miles from the farm, so families here are usually holding the puppy within a day or two of departure rather than waiting out a long haul. Around Kenton County, the van also makes stops in , including Cincinnati OH, Fort Thomas KY, Newport KY, Fort Mitchell KY, Highland Heights KY, Cold Spring KY, Fort Wright KY, Southgate KY, Wilder KY, and Park Hills KY.
Pickup at the farm
Pickup is free, and Kentucky is close enough that a fair number of families take it rather than wait on a van. From Covington it's 3 to 5 hours each way. You get to walk the property, meet the mother where possible, and go through the vaccination records, the microchip paperwork and the guarantee at the kitchen table instead of over the phone. Visits run by appointment so the time is set aside for you properly rather than squeezed between chores. We're closed Sundays, and a message left then usually gets answered Monday.
Flight nanny
Ask and we'll arrange it. Only a handful of families a year go this way, since the drive is short enough that flying rarely buys much. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim the same day. For Covington, the workable airports are Cincinnati Municipal Airport Lunken Field, and Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport. Flights run $750 to $1,200 depending on the route and the airline.
