Get to Know Why We Love Yorkies

Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, are especially close to our hearts at The Puppy House. The breed's long, silky coat is beautiful and sheds very little, so Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Don't let their size fool you. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family are what really win people over. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. Yorkies fit right in with most families. If you live in the Millcreek, Pennsylvania area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we're proud to offer families in Millcreek our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can truly count on.

Here's What Makes Our Puppies the Best

The Puppy House is dedicated to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We aim much higher than the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are all well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.

In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies explore and play in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is a great way for them to socialize, and they get plenty of exercise too.

Feel free to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love making new friends, staying in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Millcreek, Pennsylvania

Every puppy leaves from Sugarcreek, and there are three ways to get one home to Millcreek.

Farm pickup. You drive to us by appointment and take your puppy home the same day. From Millcreek that's 135 miles, about 2 to 4 hours each way. Visiting lets you see where your puppy was raised, meet us, and go over the health records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. When the drive is short enough to do in a day, this is the option we point Pennsylvania families toward first.

Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives your puppy to your door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Pennsylvania sits in our regional tier, a flat $350. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and Pennsylvania destinations are usually next day arrivals, so Erie County families, whether in Millcreek or in , including Erie PA, Meadville PA, Conneaut OH, Oil City PA, Summit PA, Edinboro PA, Vernon PA, Titusville PA, West Mead PA, Conneaut PA, McKean PA, Union City PA, Girard PA, Lake City PA, Hayfield PA, North Kingsville OH, Woodcock PA, Cambridge Springs PA, Conneaut Lakeshore PA, Bloomfield PA, Elk Creek PA, Rome PA, Oil Creek PA, Kingsville OH, Randolph PA, LeBoeuf PA, Hasson Heights PA, Cussewago PA, Waterford PA, Cambridge PA, Albion PA, Rockdale PA, Cherrytree PA, East Mead PA, Pierpont OH, Avonia PA, Cochranton PA, Linesville PA, Saegertown PA, East Fairfield PA, Steuben PA, Conneautville PA, Conneaut Lake PA, Cranesville PA, Canadohta Lake PA, and Hydetown PA, have their puppy within a day of departure. This is the most popular choice statewide and the one we recommend whenever the drive to us is more than you want to take on.

Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these are completed in a single day. For Millcreek, the options are Erie International Tom Ridge Field, and Bradford Regional Airport. Flight nanny is quoted per flight and costs more than ground, and it needs a puppy at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds with the carrier, a health certificate, and some flexibility if weather pushes the schedule. A Yorkie is nowhere near that weight limit, so the carrier requirement is never an issue for this breed.

Your puppy travels with a bag of the food it has been eating. Whichever method you pick, the timing and the fee get confirmed on a call rather than at checkout.
