Learn What We Adore About Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. With their long, beautiful, silky coat and very little shedding, Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. But it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family that really win people over. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They blend right in with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's what makes us so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Coeur d'Alene. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. We expect much more from ourselves than the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to run, play, and socialize.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Another important step is socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for their social skills, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Puppy Delivery to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Farm pickup is always an option and visits are welcome by appointment, but Coeur d'Alene is 1797 miles from Sugarcreek and the drive runs 35 to 37 hours one way, so very few families take it. If you happen to be traveling through Ohio anyway, we're glad to have you out to walk the property and go over the health records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee in person.
Ground transport is the option most of the country uses. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Idaho falls in the national delivery tier at a flat $450, the same in Coeur d'Alene as in , including Post Falls ID, Hayden ID, Sandpoint ID, Bonners Ferry ID, St. Maries ID, Dalton Gardens ID, Kellogg ID, Pinehurst ID, Osburn ID, Ponderay ID, Plummer ID, Kootenai ID, Troy MT, Dover ID, Athol ID, Moyie Springs ID, Wallace ID, Mullan ID, Hayden Lake ID, Smelterville ID, and Clark Fork ID, and western routes need two to three days on the road, so plan on a puppy in your arms toward the end of that week rather than on a fixed date.
Flight nanny is the faster answer, and for Coeur d'Alene it's the one we usually suggest. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, sends photos and video through the trip, and meets you at baggage claim. Most trips finish the same day. For families in Kootenai County, the practical arrival airports are Spokane International Airport, and Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport. Flight nanny is quoted per flight rather than by tier, and the price follows the route.
A Yorkshire Terrier makes this easy on the requirements side. The cabin limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and a Yorkie puppy is nowhere near it, so the conditions are that the puppy be at least eight weeks old, carry a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and that you have some flexibility if weather closes a runway. Winter storms across the mountain passes can move a flight or slow a van, and we would rather delay a day than push a small puppy through bad conditions. Whichever way you choose, the method, timing, and fee all get settled on a phone call once the puppy is reserved.
