Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Wylie, TX
Discover Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. Small as they are at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and being close by all the time is the icing on the cake. They adjust easily to life with most families. Finding a trustworthy Yorkie breeder in the Wylie, Texas area isn't easy, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we're proud to offer families in Wylie our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Wylie
Why Our Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go well beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and enjoy plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies all go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves gentle handling exercises in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we'd love for you to come see us and pick out your puppy in person. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. Nothing makes us happier than making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Puppy Delivery to Wylie, Texas
Home delivery by ground transport
A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary checkup before departure and updates along the way. Transports leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Texas falls in our national pricing tier, so the fee is a flat $450 regardless of which corner of the state you live in. Wylie is 970 miles from the farm, and because of that distance most families here are looking at two to three days on the road rather than the next day arrival that East Coast families get. Your driver's stops in Collin County include Wylie along with , including Greenville TX, Lucas TX, Lavon TX, Farmersville TX, and St. Paul TX.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, right beside them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. The handoff usually happens the same afternoon. Texas has plenty of direct service from the Midwest, and Wylie families usually meet their nanny at Dallas Love Field, and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Flights are quoted per trip and cost more than ground transport. They also need a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, a puppy at least eight weeks old, and a little flexibility in case weather pushes a flight. The twenty pound cabin limit including the carrier is never an issue with this breed, since a grown Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds.
Pickup at the farm
Coming to Sugarcreek by appointment and driving the puppy home yourself is always open. From Wylie that's 18 to 20 hours each way, a commitment of several days, so most families skip it, but the ones who make the drive get to meet the puppy where it was raised and go through the health records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee with us in person.
What we suggest for Wylie
For most Texas addresses, ground delivery at $450 is the easy answer, and it is what we would suggest first. It ends at your front door. Nothing is asked of you but a signature. If you would rather not have a young puppy on the road for three days, the flight nanny is usually worth the extra cost. Small puppies can dip low on blood sugar when they travel, so plan on small frequent meals for the first few days home no matter which option you pick. Method, timing, and the fee all get confirmed on the phone once your puppy is reserved.
