Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Cathedral City, CA
Explore Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, are especially close to our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, making it a popular recommendation for people with allergies. Even though they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They usually fit right in with most families. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Cathedral City, California area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. That's what makes us so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Cathedral City. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Here's What Makes Our Puppies the Best
The Puppy House is dedicated to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. Our standards go much further than the basics. We make sure all of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of space for playing and socializing.
Every puppy receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which is a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps shape good behavior and habits as they grow. Playtime happens in the backyard, where our puppies explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
You're invited to visit us and choose your puppy in person if you can. You'll be able to look around our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We're serious about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's more than a one-time sale. Making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes are all things we love.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Cathedral City, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports
There are three ways home, and for Cathedral City the choice is usually between the last two.
Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Cathedral City means 1960 miles and 38 to 40 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Cathedral City or in , including Palm Springs CA, Thousand Palms CA, and Sky Valley CA. Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.
Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Cathedral City. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. Riverside County families meet their nanny at Palm Springs International Airport, and San Bernardino International Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.
Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Cathedral City we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
