Find Out Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. Yorkies are low-shedding dogs with long, beautiful, silky coats, and they're often recommended for people with allergies. Even though most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they often act like big dogs, with an attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the real reason people fall for Yorkies is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. They fit right in with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Hendersonville, Tennessee area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Hendersonville. We believe every family deserves access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Hendersonville
What Makes Our Yorkie Puppies the Best
At The Puppy House, we pride ourselves on breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We expect much more from ourselves than the basics. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. Every one of our dogs is well cared for, and each has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies each go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. We also focus on socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Playtime happens in the backyard, where our puppies explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This gives them great socialization and plenty of exercise at the same time.
We always welcome visits, so come pick out your puppy in person if you can. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, since to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Delivery to Hendersonville, Tennessee: What It Costs and How Long It Takes
Tennessee falls in our regional delivery tier at a flat $350, and the drive from Sugarcreek to Hendersonville runs 395 miles, roughly 7 to 9 hours. Here's how the three options work.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek
You drive to us by appointment. The puppy goes home the same day. As a rule of thumb, around five hours each way is a reasonable day, past seven it gets long, and somewhere around nine it stops making sense, so you'll know where Hendersonville falls. Families who come up meet the parent dogs, walk through the vaccination records and microchip registration at the kitchen table, and leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating along with a toy and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Home delivery by ground
Most Tennessee families take this route. A professional pet transport service carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and Tennessee is close enough to the route that families here are usually among the earlier stops rather than riding along for days. The fee is a flat $350 for Hendersonville, for , including Gallatin TN, Mount Juliet TN, Springfield TN, Goodlettsville TN, White House TN, Greenbrier TN, Millersville TN, Shackle Island TN, Ridgetop TN, Cross Plains TN, Orlinda TN, Walnut Grove TN, and Adairville KY, and for anywhere else in Sumner County, and we confirm the timing on a call. No airport trip, no cargo hold, and nothing for you to arrange.
Flight nanny
A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them on a commercial flight, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these are done the same day. Tennessee has good coverage for this, and for Hendersonville the workable arrival points are Nashville International Airport, and Owensboro Daviess County Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkie is ever close to, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. It costs more than ground and it's quoted per flight.
What we usually suggest
If the drive from Hendersonville is short enough to do in a day, weigh the pickup against ground delivery, because it's worth it if you want to see where the puppy grew up. If it isn't, ground delivery is the sensible choice. Flight nanny gets it done in a day.
