Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Orem, UT
Discover Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. Although they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Then there's their love of cuddling and staying close all the time, which is the icing on the cake. They fit in well with most families. In the Orem, Utah area, reputable Yorkie breeders can be tough to find, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. For that reason, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Orem. Our aim is to give every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Orem
Why Our Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. All the adult dogs in our program are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
Every puppy takes part in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In our backyard, the puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's a great way to socialize them, and they get plenty of exercise too.
We always welcome visits, so come pick out your puppy in person if you can. You'll be able to look around our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. Nothing makes us happier than making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before your puppy comes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can be confident that your new Yorkie is healthy, happy, and ready to become part of your family.
Orem, Utah Delivery Options, Timing, and Cost
Farm pickup. Collect the puppy yourself at Sugarcreek, by appointment. Coming from Orem that's 1574 miles and 30 to 32 hours of driving each way, so this really only makes sense for families who were already heading east. If you do come, you see where the puppy was raised, meet the parents when they're here, and go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee at the kitchen table instead of over the phone.
Ground transport. Utah families end up here more than anywhere else. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary checkup before departure, and updates along the way. Utah falls in our national delivery tier at a flat $450. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and a western run like this one usually takes two to three days. The route crosses the Rockies, and winter weather over the mountain passes can add time, so we give you a window rather than a promised arrival hour.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the airline cabin, never in cargo, in a soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most finish within one day of takeoff. For Utah County families, the landing spots we use are Provo Municipal Airport, and Salt Lake City International Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, because the price follows the airfare.
For Orem we point families toward ground transport first. It's predictable, it costs the same here as it does in , including Provo UT, Heber UT, Vineyard UT, Francis UT, and Daniel UT, and the puppy stays in one vehicle the whole way. Flight nanny is the better answer when you want the puppy home in a single day or when a two day trip feels like too much for a small puppy. That last point matters more with this breed than with most. A four pound puppy can drop its blood sugar after a long travel day, so both our transport partners and our nannies keep to small frequent meals on the road, and we ask you to do the same for the first week at home. Weight also makes flying easy here, since the twenty pound limit that includes the carrier is nowhere near a concern for a Yorkshire Terrier. The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a call once the puppy is reserved.
