Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Proviso, IL
Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. For a dog that typically weighs 7 pounds or less, the Yorkie has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They settle in easily with most families. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Proviso, Illinois area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. That's why we're so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Proviso. We want to make sure every family has access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Yorkie Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we pride ourselves on breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We set our standards well above the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
From the start, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is a great way for them to socialize, and they get plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we'd love for you to come see us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough exam from a veterinarian before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Proviso comes up 338 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Bellwood IL, Brookfield IL, Westchester IL, La Grange IL, Western Springs IL, La Grange Park IL, Hillside IL, Broadview IL, Countryside IL, and Berkeley IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Proviso families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
