Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Joliet, IL
Here's What We Love About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, the Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. Small as they are at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. However, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. In the Joliet, Illinois area, reputable Yorkie breeders can be tough to find, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we're so proud to provide families in Joliet with our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want to make sure every family has access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Joliet
See Why Our Puppies Stand Out
The Puppy House is dedicated to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We go well beyond the basic standards. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
We put every puppy through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs, playing and exploring together. They get great socialization this way, along with plenty of exercise.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. Visiting lets you see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before your puppy comes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Kendall County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Joliet comes up 347 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Troy IL, Jackson IL, Preston Heights IL, Elwood IL, and Rockdale IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Joliet families are Chicago Midway International Airport, and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
