Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Rockford, IL
Discover Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. People with allergies are often pointed toward Yorkies, since their beautiful, long, silky coat sheds very little. Even though they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the real reason people fall for Yorkies is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Even better, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They settle into most family homes with ease. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Rockford, Illinois area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. This is why we're proud to make our carefully bred Yorkie puppies available to families in Rockford. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Yorkie Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we pride ourselves on breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. Our standards are set well above the minimum. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for, and each has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which is a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. We also focus on socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.
We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We're careful about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's always more than a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Our puppies receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before they go home. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Rockford, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs
Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Rockford that's 7 to 9 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Winnebago County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Rockford comes up 404 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Freeport IL, Cherry Valley IL, Flagg IL, Winnebago IL, Oregon-Nashua IL, Pecatonica IL, Byron IL, Oregon IL, Scott IL, Davis Junction IL, Amboy IL, Rockvale IL, Monroe IL, Hillcrest IL, Burritt IL, Stillman Valley IL, Pine Rock IL, Franklin Grove IL, Taylor IL, Ashton IL, New Milford IL, White Rock IL, Lost Nation IL, and Lynnville IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Rockford families are Chicago Rockford International Airport, and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
