Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Akron, OH
Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They adapt well to most families. Tracking down a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Akron, Ohio area can be challenging, since responsible breeders are so rare across the country. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Akron. We want every family to have the chance to own a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Learn Why Our Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we're committed to breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines with a history of great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
During their first few weeks, our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take every Yorkie placement seriously, and to us it's much more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Free Pickup, or $250 Delivery to Akron, Ohio
Coming to get the puppy
Pickup is free and it's what most Ohio families choose. From Akron the farm is 41 miles away, 1 to 2 hours by car. A visit is also what separates a breeder from the large puppy websites, which are brokers listing dogs from kennels they have never walked into. Visits are by appointment. That isn't us being formal about it. This is a working farm, and an appointment means the time gets set aside for you properly rather than fitted in between chores. Come out, take as long as you want, and ask us anything. Nobody has ever been rushed off this property.
We're closed Sundays. A message left with us then usually gets answered Monday morning.
Home delivery
If the drive genuinely doesn't work, home delivery to Akron, to , including Barberton OH, Fairlawn OH, Portage Lakes OH, Montrose-Ghent OH, Lakemore OH, and Sawyerwood OH, or anywhere else in Summit County is $250, which is the lowest rate we charge anywhere. Your puppy travels with a pet delivery service in a climate controlled van, in a carrier of its own, and there are always two drivers so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. Their own veterinarian checks each puppy over after pickup and before the van leaves the driveway. Reserve before noon on Monday and it usually runs that week.
Flying makes little sense inside Ohio and almost nobody asks for it. If you did want it, the nanny would land at Akron Canton Regional Airport, and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, but a commercial flight with an in-flight nanny runs $750 to $1,200, which buys you nothing on a drive this short.
